Webs Trip on 8/5

Ok, so our trip to Webs was a success, despite the absence of Laura.  We missed you!!  The big news of the trip was that Ruthanne purchased a ball winder and swift.  Yahoo!!  I have started on that blue hat from Mission Falls.  I think I might like it, but too soon to tell.  When I am finished, I will try to post a picture.  Oh, Carrie, the Noro scarves are becoming popular with the Concord knitters.  Off to knit ( oh goodness, what has happened to me!!).

  1. I had so much fun on our trip, so did Liam! He told Marc all about it last night...I haven't started anything yet like Michelle, but I'm tempted. I need to get a cake made for a wedding shower on Saturday and my quilt stuff is still taking up the diningroom table. But I think I'm going to start on the pants for Liam. If the patterns calls for a 16" circular can you use a longer one?!
Off to bake, then to knit!
(I wrote something before with my old screen name so I deleted it!)

  2. I think you can use a longer cord, but it can be a big pain. What size needle? I bet have the right one for you.

  3. I too had a great time, and enjoyed both the ride to and the ride from. (honest!)
I think I'm going to promise myself that I will finish the brown sweater before starting any of my new projects. My goal is to get it done by mid-September so I can say that I got it done within a year......

  4. Wish I could have made the trip to webs. So jealous, but I am in Maine for work. I did hit up a sale at a decent yarn store in Waterville. I picked up some Classic Elite Lush Angora Wool, just a little bit so I think I will make up a cowl. Also got Berroco Ultra Alpaca...must most psyched to get the new interweve knits mag. Nice patterns.

I am currently working on fingerless mitts for my niece that have to be done for Saturday.

    So, where did you eat??

  5. OOh Carrie, I just used that Berroco for a bag- I'll upload a pic later. I am in love with that yarn, such great color choices too.
Michelle and I are going to attempt to CROCHET some fingerless gloves...we'll see how that turns out!
We ate at Sylvester's of course...
